In Case You Missed It: Domos, Domos, DOMOS!

Hello all, Marc here. So, as many of you know: at the conventions I was mostly a lump. A good looking, bearded lump. Kyle sells like a madman. And Matt? Well he is a commission machine. And me? Lump. So, Matt, in his special way, likes to force me to be a better person. So, a year or so ago at Dan Con 2012, Matt says “Marc, get off your butt, and draw something.”. As a joke, I draw Domo, the Japanese wundermascot. I find him adorable. And I made a little set of them at the show. The rest of the year? I sat. I mean, Matt, by hand, is AMAZING. And somehow after years in front of my computer, I’d lost my zeal for handmade art. But this year I said nay. NAY! I must be a better beard. So, with that, I announced I would do Domo Commissions while at the cons. And lo and behold; people liked then. People bought them. And now, while at cons… this will be my life.

I accept my fate, and plan on increasing my repertoire to expand beyond Domos. But for now: enjoy all I did at Gem City Comic Con this past weekend. As yes, I mashed up My Little Pony and Domo. You can’t unsee it.

    I need a domo commission!!!!!!!!

Just one question, no Domo samernaut?!?

  2. Marc says:

Hey Schwing. Domo commissions for now will be con-only…(because shipping a trading card seems silly? And if I did LARGER than trading cards? I would do them as printed computer paintings) BUT, yes there could ALWAYS be some Domonauts on the way!

Don’t be so quick to branch out. Everybody needs a Thing to call their own, and these are really fun. Even (shudder) My Domo Pony. I think Domotello is my favorite.

  4. Marc says:

Aww Mike, I would have pegged you for Han Domo and Domobacca!

Hey now, I watched plenty of TMNT before I had even heard of Star Wars. And I second what @schwing said – you definitely need some Domonaut trading cards.
